Challenge Postponement

Since we've no entries for the week, Challenge [70]: Sleep will not be closed until next Saturday, March 17th.

Challenge [70]

We spend up to a third of our lives lost in it, but somehow we never seem to get enough. It's the garden where dreams and nightmares grow, the knitter-upper of ravelled sleaves, still largely mysterious even to those who spend their lives studying it. Though we don't entirely know what it does, we know going without it for too long means torment and madness.

Week #70's theme is sleep, and it will be due on March 9th.

Sweet dreams!

Challenge [69]: CLOSED

Since we've no other entries, the winner-by-default is empath_eia. :) Thank you so much for entering!

...and, finally, a challenge postponement. :) Challenge [69] will be postponed until this Sunday, February 26th, at which point the poll or winner-by-default will be posted - but I love this challenge and hope to see more entries!

empath_eia, here is your icon for your winning entry for Challenge [67] Winter Song, Weissefrauen. If you would like text added, please let me know! (I have two alternate versions, as well - if you drop me a PM with your email, I'd be happy to mail them. :))

[069] the city // Rot

Challenge: [69] the city

These halls were dead.Collapse )

Challenge Postponement

Since we've had no entries for this week, Challenge [69] The City will be postponed until next Saturday, February 11th.

challenge [069]!

thank you everyone! ♥

here, you walk down concrete streets - past traffic lights, towering skyscrapers, the occasional flash of greenery. the skies are hazy on most days. businessmen and women in their smart suits and ties, students in their uniforms and sneakers, the odd little girl with a balloon - everyday, you rub shoulders with someone new, squeezing into queues and buses or elbowing your way through the crowds. challenge [69] is the city - the stomping ground for more than half the world's population - due 3 Feb.

[have fun writing! :-)]

Challenge [68]: CLOSED

I am very, very sorry for the delay. :x

The rules for this week's poll are slightly different, so please read carefully. :)

You're allowed to vote for yourself, but unless you think your drabble was really good, please refrain.

Pick your choice for the winner, and if you're not the one who posted the challenge, leave the challenger's vote box empty. We've already indicated the challenger's name, so if that's not your name there, don't put your vote in the challenger's box. Everyone's vote counts, but the one that gets the vote of the challenger gets an extra three points.

Also, please note that the challenger only votes in the challenger's voting box.

When voting, please put in only the number. It makes it easier for the mod to calculate results rather than constantly referring to the list of challengers. Also, I'm aware that I may make mistakes. Please inform me if I missed a challenger out.

The winner will be announced in this post so please come back to it.

Here are the writers and their entries:

1. sabrina_neo's 84-28-17

2. catnipfields's The Altar

pollCollapse )

Edit: the winner is sabrina_neo!

Challenge Postponement II

Since there is still only one entry, Challenge [68] Altar will be postponed until next Tuesday, January 17th, at which point either the poll or the winner-by-default will be posted.

(A moving-or-not poll will be sorted later when I am less sore-throated and sniffly-nosed. Oh, January.)

challenge #68
